What is Staq Software

Staq Software is a DevOps as a service platform. What does that mean exactly? We provide the infrastructure and deployment pipeline that enables your engineering team to launch and scale your product, without spending enormous amounts of time managing clusters, servers, cloud service providers, terraform, vaults, … you get the picture. Our mission is to give your engineering team the toolkit they need to launch and scale your applications, all with the click of a button, so that you can focus entirely on the code and building your product.

Features

For a view of what we currently provide to accomplish this goal, check out our features page.

Getting started

Before jumping in, you’ll need to create an account. You can do that here.

Important notice: It’s also important to note that at this time, hosts for new users must be provisioned manually by the Staq Software team. We will likely already be in touch, but if not please reach out to info@staqsoftware to enable host access.

Once you register, you’ll be taken to your personal landing page, which at this point we’ll admit looks a bit bare. But we’ll change that soon!

Teams

The first thing you’ll need to do is create a team. Everything you do from here on we’ll be under a team, even if you are working independently. You can be apart of multiple teams, each team can have multiple users, and everything done within that team is isolated and locked down to that team only. Your team will have it’s own dedicated pool of one to many hosts that are only available to your applications (all managed by Staq Software). You can create a team by clicking on the button or going here.

Applications

Once your team is created you’ll be taken to your new team’s landing page, where you’ll be able to setup your first application. On Staq Software, an application represents… well.. your application - be it a website, a monolith, an api, anything that can run on a server! Your application is not what you’ll be deploying directly - you will be able to setup multiple environments for your application, and those are what are actually running.

Click the button to create your first application. To “run” versions of your application, we need to know:
